An important part of life is to maintain good health both physically and mentally. There are plenty of things you can do to keep yourself mentally healthy and physically fit.
1.Eat Well
Eating well is the most important thing to maintain physical and mental health. There is an urban myth to have a diet plan which I don't recommend however, skip junk foods and eat healthy nutritious, freshly cooked food.
2.Exercise daily
Physical fitness plays a vital role in your mental health as well as physical health. It creates chemical reactions that are proven to reduce anxiety, stress and put you in a good mood. Either play sports like badminton, cricket or hit the gym that’s left to your choice but make sure you stay fit.
3.Get Exposed to Sunlight
Sunlight is a prominent source of vitamin D. Vitamin D is crucial for our bodies and our brains. It assits our brains to release chemicals that improve our mood such as endorphins and serotonin. Go out in the sun as much as possible, at least of 30 minutes to two hours a day of sunlight is necessary.
4.Avoid Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs
Drinking and smoking generally aren't associated with withdrawal symptoms, but they can cause some which impact your physical and mental health. Smoking can make your body and brain go into withdrawal which makes you irritable and anxious.
5.Manage Stress.
Stress is unavoidable in everyone's life, so you must learn how to deal with it to keep your sanity. Identify the source of your stress to find ways to handle it better.
If you feel like you’re spending an excessive amount of time and energy on one part of your life then your work-life balance may be off.
6.Enjoy the Present.
Learn to focus on the present rather than being preoccupied with past or future events. This will you intact to value the little things that happen around and make you feel less anxious.
7.Find your Work-life Balance.
If you feel like you’re spending an excessive amount of time and energy on one part of your life, then your work-life balance may be off. The best way to do this varies from a person to another. Find a way that works best for you.
8.Get Enough Sleep.
One of the key things to have a happier life is to maintain a proper sleeping timeline. Lack of sleep impacts your mental health as it can create emotional and psychological problems. Go to bed at a reasonable hour and try to get at least 7 hours of sleep. It will help you achieve maximum recovery and face the next day with more strength.
9.Develop Relationships.
Developing and maintaining solid personal relationships is beneficial to your physical and mental health. Maintain good relationships with your friends, family, or at work. These relationships will enrich your life and provide you with great support.
10.Enjoy Life
Take time to enjoy and laugh which will have an impact on staying mentally healthy. Laughter lifts moral, keeps you in a good mood, and releases stress.
